Perth and Kinross Network

The latest news from our Perth and Kinross Network.

Perth and Kinross Local Network News

The Perth and Kinross Local Network started up again in the summer of 2026. In June representatives from seven different congregations met together at St John’s Episcopal Church. They shared with each other updates on what actions are being undertaken in their congregations including garden projects, community engagement, involvement with fairtrade and working towards net zero.

Our local networks are run by volunteer conveners from local congregations. Here is what they said about their first gathering.

‘It’s so encouraging to get together with other eco-congregations and find out what they are doing and and also hear about some of the challenges, from lack of volunteers to getting the balance right between wild and more formal parts of church gardens. Very inspiring, enjoyable and great fellowship.
– Karena Jarvie (Kinross-shire Parish Church)
‘The meeting was quite amazing – 15 folk..It was interesting to hear how many congregations have a strong focus on their grounds and the environment.’
– Elaine Cameron (St John’s Episcopal Church)

We are delighted to announce that our Perth and Kinross Network is starting up again. Our local networks offer the chance to connect with others in your area, sharing ideas and building community.

This first meeting will be an informal meeting with tea and coffee and the chance to hear what other groups are up to and to encourage each other. Following meetings will be shaped by those who come along. If you are unable to make it on this occasion but are interested in future meetings, please do let us know. If you are new to Eco-Congregation Scotland or have been involved for years you would be very welcome.

Monday 22nd June at 7.30pm
St John’s Episcopal Church Princes Street, PH2 7HU.

Our local networks are run by local volunteers. This meeting is being jointly hosted by Elaine Cameron (St John’s Episcopal Church) and Karena Jarvie (Kinross Parish Church). To register your interest in this event please contact Karena Jarvie
