SUMMARY:Hope for Creation Conference
DESCRIPTION:Hope for Creation is a residential conference organised by the Scottish Episcopal Net Zero team\, which will take place between 20 to 21 October in Stirling\, bringing together people interested in practical action to tackle climate change in the Scottish church context.\n \nThe conference will provide opportunities for worship\, discussion and learning\, with contributions from across the SEC\, ecumenical partners\, and partner organisations.\n \nThe event takes place at the Stirling Court Hotel\, and overnight accommodation is available.\n\n Bethany Nelson\, Net Zero Empowerment Co-ordinator\, said:\n\n“The Net Zero team are looking forward to welcoming you to Stirling for the Hope for Creation Conference.  We will spend the days learning from one another as we celebrate creation\, deepen our understanding of stewardship\, and share stories of hope-filled action. Plans for this conference were drawn up in response to the feedback from attendees of the Net Zero Roadshow events\, which took place over the past year.  The opportunity to share best practice\, reflection and worship together was appreciated\, and this conference is a response to a desire for the Church to spend more time gathered to consider these matters. Hope for Creation will also allow us to share our learning with\, and learn from\, ecumenical guests and partner organisations. We are grateful to our sponsors\, Ecclesiastical\, and the General Synod Office for supporting this event\, and if you have any questions about attending\, please do get in touch.”\n\n\nFurther information on the conference\, including a draft agenda\, accommodation and catering details\, and booking are available via the Eventbrite event page:\nHope for Creation Tickets\, Tuesday 20 October-Wednesday 21 October | Eventbrite

SUMMARY:Home Energy Scotland – Supporting Householders
DESCRIPTION:Does your congregation work with those impacted by fuel poverty in your local community? \nThis practical training session is designed for church staff and volunteers who support householders and want to build their confidence in providing basic energy advice. Participants will gain an understanding of fuel poverty\, learn how to identify households that may be struggling with energy costs\, and develop the skills to offer effective energy efficiency guidance without needing to be a technical expert. The training also provides an overview of Scottish Government funding and support available for energy efficiency improvements\, helping attendees signpost people to the most appropriate assistance and improve outcomes for the households they support. \nThis workshop will be held on Microsoft Teams. \nRegister your place now: HES Registration Link
