Congratulations to award winners, The Iona Community at Iona Abbey, who have been awarded a Silver Eco-Congregation Scotland Award.
They celebrated their award at their Service for Creation on Wednesday 29th July.
Our assessors commended the community for their active and frequent inclusion of environmental concerns and peace and justice issues in worship, communications and personal lifestyle choices. Alongside encouraging and influencing others to do the same.
The Iona Community demonstrated excellence in developing resources in worship, prayer, reflection, music and creativity which all support, influence and provide examples of how our actions can and should reflect our faith.
