The exuberant immersion in the joy of Creation from the Song of Songs is a lovely start to the Season; Psalm 45 reaches for the fragrances of nature to praise an earthly ruler; Moses in Deuteronomy 4 emphasises urgency, rather than kicking the can down the road; Psalm 15 looks for integrity in public, private and spiritual life, as does James 1, and Jesus in Mark 7 lists the chosen causes of the injustice which is at the root of the crises of nature and climate . Food for thought and action!
